Our premium Combustion Air Handling Unit ( CAHU) conditions the three ambient air elements to generate a consistently accurate supply of conditioned air to the engine intake, thereby adjusting pressure, temperature and humidity to precise repeatable conditions that conform to end-user specifications. Controlled by our CADET V14 software, the CAHU conditioned air is ideal for emissions work, for standardizing the engine intake air conditions for mapping or optimization, and for simulating ambient conditions from around the globe. The Sierra-CP CAHU also improves test cell productivity by reducing test days lost due to adverse atmospheric conditions.
Our high performance CAHU’ s enable the client to simulate ambient conditions in terms of temperature, pressure and humidity of race tracks from around the globe on a transient basis. Previously the control and setpoint of humidity was set as a % of RH. We have added the ability to set humidity as an absolute value of g/ kg providing better set control through the operating range independent of temperature.
